T30 Fire Doors

30 minutes of fire resistance — the most common requirement.

A T30 fire door withstands fire and heat in the standard fire test for at least 30 minutes. The test covers integrity (E), insulation (I) and mechanical resistance in accordance with the applicable proofs of usability. Classification is T30 to the applicable proofs of usability or EI₂30 to the applicable proofs of usability — both designations are recognised in Germany. A T30 door is self-closing and forms — together with frame, hardware and seals — a single approved assembly. With the suffix "-RS" it is additionally smoke-tight in accordance with the applicable proofs of usability — required wherever escape routes must remain free of smoke.

    Suitable wall and minimum thickness

The approval applies only in the tested wall combination — concrete, masonry or approved drywall. Substrate check before installation.

The frame is part of the approval — no free swap. We select the variant tested for the wall.

Proper installation of the joint per the manufacturer's instructions — otherwise the approval is invalid.

  • abZ

    National building approval

Every T30 door requires a valid approval (Z-number) and a permanent data plate — readable after installation.

    Manufacturer training required

Installation only by certified contractors with current training records — otherwise insurance cover lapses.
