Smoke-tight assemblies

Smoke-tight — not necessarily fire-resistant.

A smoke-tight assembly in accordance with the applicable proofs of usability holds back smoke for over 30 minutes at a 200 °C temperature test. Classification "SAa" or combined as "T30-RS" / "T90-RS". Smoke seals are mandatory in necessary corridors, stairwells and escape routes per state building code — wherever smoke would make an escape route impassable. Typical: circumferential seals, threshold seal, tested closing system.

Which execution fits.

Which variant fits depends on the installation context, the existing building and the fire-protection concept — we advise per project.

RS door (smoke only)

No fire resistance — smoke-tight only. Rare, mostly basements or low fire load.

On request

T30-RS

Most common combination. 30-min resistance + smoke-tight. Standard in flats, offices, hotels.

T90-RS

For high-rises and firewalls with smoke-seal requirement.

RS frame only

Frame replacement in existing buildings — when the leaf remains.

All prices excl. VAT. Maintenance contracts are quoted on a per-unit basis.

Where we work

We cover every typical building type — from residential to industrial complexes with hundreds of components per site.

  1. 01

    Building-code review

What does the fire-concept require? T30-RS or T90-RS? Escape-route relevance?

  2. 02

    Install with leak test

Installation per manufacturer certificate incl. threshold seal, functional check, smoke-cartridge leak test.

  3. 03

    Retrofit existing leaf

RS retrofit of an existing T30 via seals and new frame — often a cost-effective solution.

  4. 04

    Annual service

Check closers, seals, self-closing — with protocol.
