Fire-suppression systems are fixed installations that automatically extinguish fires without human intervention. Sprinklers (water) protect production and storage, gas (CO₂, Inergen, Novec) protects IT and archives, foam protects tanks and hangars. Planning, install and service follow VdS guidelines (CEA 4001 for sprinkler, VdS 2093 for gas) and applicable proof of usability. Annual service by the installer or a VdS-approved service firm is mandatory for insurance cover.
