Power-operated door & gate testing

The "annual MOT" for automatic doors and gates.

Every power-operated gate and automatic door in workplaces must be tested at least annually by a competent person per ASR A1.7. applicable proof of usability defines the scope for door systems; DGUV 208-022 is the implementation guide. For loading bays, platforms and lifts, DGUV 108-006 additionally applies. Without a current protocol, operation is not allowed — accidents lead to personal operator liability and loss of insurance.
